Contract cleaning company vs hiring our own staff, which way did you go?

I run a small office building in Dearborn and had to pick between a commercial cleaning service at $1,800 a month or hiring two part-timers for about the same cost. We went with the service because they handled supplies and insurance, but after 4 months they keep missing the lobby trash and the bathroom schedule is a mess. Did anyone else make this call and regret it, or is sticking with a vendor the smarter long play in Detroit?

Missing lobby trash after 4 months? That's not a contract problem, that's just them not doing the job. Maybe stop overthinking the vendor vs staff thing and just call them out on it.
