Overheard a guy at the Woodward Ave coffee counter say he'd never hire a Detroit commercial cleaner without asking for their insurance cert
I was grabbing coffee on Woodward Ave last week and this property manager next to me was telling his buddy how a cleaner without proper insurance cost him $4,200 when a guy knocked over a display case at his building in Midtown. That one comment pushed me to finally pull together my COI and general liability papers to hand out with every bid. I sent it to three building managers I've been trying to get in with, and one already asked me to walk a space on Cass Ave for a weekly contract. Any of you running commercial janitorial, do you attach your cert to the first email or wait until they ask?
