Pro tip: Switched my commercial janitorial crew to a different floor finish and saved $200 a month

I used to swear by that high-gloss acrylic finish from the big supply house. But after the fourth time my guys had to re-buff a section that yellowed in under two weeks, I tried a matte polymer blend from a local Detroit supplier. The new stuff costs about 15% less per gallon and lasts three full weeks longer between recoats. We cover about 18,000 square feet across three warehouses. Has anyone else switched finishes and seen a real difference in wear?

Wait, three full weeks longer? That's insane. I figured the savings would be like a week at most, not almost a month of extra wear. How did you even find a local supplier that wasn't just pushing the same stuff the big guys sell?

Tbh you just gotta get lucky with the local guys who've been around forever. I found my tire guy through a neighbor who swore by him, and he stocks brands I've never even heard of before. Ngl it was weird at first trusting some random shop over the big names, but now I won't go anywhere else.

Three full weeks longer I know, my wallet practically screamed with joy." Honestly I just stumbled on the guy while searching for "old man tire shop near me" and he turned out to be a hidden gem.
