Stopped by that new waste management office on Gratiot and noticed something odd about their truck scheduling

I was dropping off some old commercial fridge units last Tuesday around 3 PM and saw three trucks all leaving empty at the same time from the depot. Seemed like a lot of overlap. Anyone else see weird timing like that from these services around town?

Hate to say it but I think you might be overthinking this one. Trucks leave empty all the time for different routes and it could just be a shift change or something.

Did you catch that article in the Metro Times a few weeks back about the city's new "smart routing" system? Supposedly it's supposed to cut down on fuel waste, but sounds like it's having the OPPOSITE effect so far.
