That parking lot striping crew I kept cursing finally made me see the light

I used to think paying for resealing and restriping a commercial lot was a total waste, especially after watching a crew do a shoddy job on our back alley. But last month our landlord hired a Detroit crew that actually measured the lines and used reflective paint, and suddenly our delivery drivers stopped parking like maniacs. Has anyone else had a bad paving job flip their opinion once they saw it done right?

Our own building's lot was a hot mess for years with this faded paint nobody could see at night, then a crew from Grand Rapids came in and did it right with that reflective stuff and actually measured the spaces. Suddenly the trucks weren't blocking the dumpsters anymore and even the customers stopped complaining about tight spots. It really makes a difference when someone takes the time to lay it out properly instead of just eyeballing it like the last guys did.

Funny how a little measuring tape and reflective paint can turn a guy like me into a sidewalk foreman. @gonzalez.vera nailed it - when they actually laid out the spaces instead of guessing, our drivers stopped treating the lot like a demolition derby. I used to think anyone with a paint sprayer and a bad attitude could do the job, but now I catch myself eyeballing stripes on every lot I see. Guess that makes me a certified parking lot snob.
