TIL the city's commercial dumpster pickup schedule is actually pretty reliable after tracking it for a month.
I was convinced our alley service was random, but logging every pickup for our Corktown shop showed they hit our block within the same 2-hour window every single Tuesday for four weeks straight.

Did you try leaving a note or talking to the driver? I actually did that at my old place in River West after months of random pickups. The guy was super nice, told me he covers our block last on his route so he can grab coffee nearby. After that, I'd put my stuff out right before the coffee shop opens and it was never missed. Maybe your driver has a similar little routine you can work with.

That's actually wild they were that consistent. The garbage trucks in my neighborhood show up anytime between 5am and noon, it's a total guessing game. You got lucky with a solid route driver.
