Finally got the fuel system on that stubborn 6.0 Powerstroke to hold prime after the third pump replacement

It took me two hours of bleeding and checking every O-ring from the tank to the heads, but seeing that pressure gauge stay steady at 55 psi felt like a real victory.

That's a solid win, but the spec pressure for a healthy 6.0 is actually 45 to 50 psi at idle.

Man, hearing that spec just brings back some stressful memories. Had my own 6.0 running low like that for a while before things got noisy. Definitely felt that pressure, both in the engine and in my wallet, trying to chase down the cause. It's one of those numbers you start watching like a hawk once you know about it. Really hope it's something simple for them and not a deep dive.

Nah, gotta disagree. Seen plenty of 6.0s running strong for years at 40 psi. Chasing that perfect spec number can send you down a rabbit hole fixing what ain't broke.
