Had to choose between cheap injectors or OEM last week on a 6.7 Powerstroke

Customer didn't want to spend the money on OEM ones. I told him the cheap ones might not last but he said go for it. 3 days later one of them failed and took out a cylinder. Now he's paying for a used motor. Has anyone else had cheap parts bite them this bad?

Bro you ever seen what happens when someone tries to save 20 bucks on a set of glow plugs? Lol I had a buddy do that on his 6.0 and two of them swelled up and had to be drilled out. Took him a whole weekend and he still ended up buying the Motorcraft ones anyway. That motor swap bill must be brutal though, I swear cheap parts always find a way to cost you triple in the end. My grandpa used to say "buy once cry once" and he was dead right. I'd rather cry over the price of good parts than cry over a hole in my block lol.
