Old timer's advice on injectors saved my butt in Amarillo
A retired fleet guy told me to always check the return line pressure before pulling injectors, and I thought he was overcomplicating things. Last month a 6.7 Powerstroke was running rough, and sure enough it was a cracked fuel rail line, not the injectors at all. That one check saved me like 6 hours of labor and a $700 parts order, so now I do it every time. Who else has had that kind of stall tactic from a mentor that turned out golden?

Fleet guys know every trick because they've fixed the same truck 40 times in a gravel lot. My old boss had me check the crank sensor waveform before touching anything electrical, saved me from replacing a perfectly good ECM once.
