PSA: The new DEF fluid from the local NAPA seems to cut injector carbon by half in our fleet trucks.

We used to pull and clean injectors on our 6.7 Powerstrokes every 18 months, but after switching 8 months ago, they're still spotless. Anyone else seeing this kind of result with a specific brand?

That's a huge change from your old schedule.

It's just a different routine, not a complete life overhaul. People act like switching your gym time or work hours is some massive event. It's just logistics.

Heard from a buddy who runs a fleet of Rams that the Valvoline Premium Blue DEF has been doing the same thing for him. He said his injectors used to look like charcoal briquettes after a year but now they're basically clean when he pops them out for a check. Really makes you wonder if the cheaper DEF fluids are just watered down or have some kind of crap in them that leaves deposits. Maybe the NAPA stuff is actually closer to the factory spec than the generic brands.
