Accidentally put my digital painting on the wrong layer for 2 hours
Last weekend I was working on this sunset landscape in Procreate and couldn't figure out why my clouds looked like muddy blobs. Turns out I had been painting on a locked layer the whole time while the actual canvas was blank underneath. Has anyone else spent way too long troubleshooting something that dumb?

Felt that in my bones. I once spent an hour trying to figure out why my brush wasn't working, only to realize I had the opacity slider all the way down.

Oh man, I did almost the exact same thing last month except it was with a portrait. I had been blending skin tones for like an hour and couldn't figure out why everything looked so flat and weird. Turns out I was painting on a reference layer I had imported and the actual painting layer was completely empty underneath. Wanted to throw my iPad across the room when I finally noticed.
