Compared my curved monitor to a flat one for 2 weeks, the curve wins for landscapes but flops for character art

I swapped my 27-inch curved display for an old flat panel to sketch portraits and the edges kept warping on faces, but when I threw on a wild desert scene the depth was unreal. Anyone else switch back and forth depending on what they're painting?

Stick with the flat one for portraits, honestly. The curve bends straight lines like noses and jawlines weirdly when they're close to the edge, and you end up constantly nudging the canvas back to the middle just to keep the face looking right. Landscapes are a whole different beast though, that wrap-around feel makes distant hills and skies feel like you're standing in the scene. I keep a flat panel for character work and only pull out the curve when I'm doing big environment pieces. Mixing them feels like having two different art tools, and that's not a bad thing.
