Found out my digital art tablet has been collecting dust bunnies for 2 years

I was cleaning out my desk drawer last weekend and pulled out my old Huion tablet. I bought it in 2021 after seeing a slick Procreate demo on YouTube. Turns out I never actually opened the box. I checked the stats online and saw that over 60% of digital artists who buy a tablet use it less than 10 times. That shocked me because I figured everyone was cranking out masterpieces every week. Meanwhile mine sat in a drawer while I was doodling on sticky notes with a ballpoint pen. I finally plugged it in and spent 3 hours just drawing squiggly lines. Has anyone else bought art gear and let it sit for way too long?

Three hours of squiggly lines doesn't sound like a tragedy, more like a pretty typical Tuesday. Plenty of people buy hobby gear, try it once, and it ends up in a closet, it's hardly a crisis. You used it, you had fun, that's more than most folks can say about their impulse buys.
