I finally got my digital piece into a local gallery show last week, but the print quality was a mess.

I spent like 3 days prepping my file for a 24x36 inch print, but the gallery's printer made all the dark blues look super muddy and pixelated. It really killed the vibe of my whole showcase piece. Has anyone else had a print shop totally ruin their art right before a big event?

My local pharmacy's photo kiosk does this to family pictures all the time.

Yeah @robinson.leo you're right, it's super common. Those kiosks are usually set to auto-correct everything, so if your skin tones aren't perfectly even, it'll just blow them out or shift them to a weird orange. I always tell people to unlock the exposure lock if they can, or manually turn off any "beauty" or "red eye" settings before they hit print. Has anyone ever tried printing from their phone's settings instead of the kiosk's defaults?

Ugh that's the worst, I used to trust any print shop until a similar thing happened to me.
