My aunt asked if my digital art was 'real' work
She saw my gallery online and said, 'It's so pretty, but do you get paid for those pictures?' It made me realize I still sometimes downplay the effort behind my pieces. How do you explain the value of digital art to family?

Right @bettyperry, does she also text you "you okay?" if you don't reply within like 10 minutes? My mom will send three follow-up messages if I don't answer her "did you eat yet?" text fast enough. It's honestly a little suffocating sometimes but I'd probably freak out if she just stopped asking one day.

Moms have a permanent subscription to that particular question. It's like they get a handbook when you move out and that's chapter one. Mine will probably ask if I've eaten lunch while I'm chewing a sandwich right in front of her. The weird part is you start to miss it when they don't ask.
1
