My worst digital art showcase week ever, and it was all my fault
Last Tuesday I had three pieces in the weekly showcase and every single one got torn apart in the comments. One person said my shading looked like I used a crayon on a tablet, and honestly they weren't wrong. I spent like 40 hours on that set and the color grading was all over the place because I kept tweaking the monitor brightness at 2am. The worst part was my lighting study piece, the one I thought was my best, and someone pointed out the shadow direction changed between the face and the background. I deleted the post after 20 minutes out of pure embarrassment. But then I spent Friday redoing all three with fixed reference photos and a proper warm-up sketch routine, and the new versions got 120 likes combined. Has anyone else had a week where you just had to eat the criticism and completely restart your whole process?
