Rearranged my gallery wall 4 times before I got it right
I had to choose between a strict grid layout or a freeform cluster for my digital prints. I went with the cluster because it felt more personal, even though the grid looked cleaner in mockups. After three tries, I finally balanced the sizes by sticking my biggest piece in the center and working outward. The whole process took about 2 hours but now visitors actually stop to look at each piece instead of just glancing. Has anyone else struggled with finding the right layout for their wall art?

the whole process took about 2 hours" oh man that's nothing, my buddy Jake spent an entire Saturday on his gallery wall. He kept moving this one vintage map print around and finally gave up and just leaned it on the floor against the wall. Now it sits there crooked and he says it adds "character" but really I think he just got tired of measuring. But your cluster idea sounds way better than his mess, especially the big piece in the middle thing.

Your buddy Jake leaning the map on the floor made me laugh lol. Did he at least try rotating it before he gave up? I had my biggest piece centered but the second try I accidentally put a small 5x7 next to it and it looked totally lost until I grouped three medium sized ones around it. Did you find yourself fighting with negative space more than the actual arrangement?
