Remember when you had to save up for a Wacom tablet?

I was at a small con in Seattle maybe 8 years ago, and a guy was just drawing on his phone with his finger. It looked so simple and the art was actually good. I'd been saving for a big tablet for months. That moment made me realize the tool doesn't matter as much as I thought. Now I see people making amazing stuff on cheap iPads all the time. Anyone else have a moment that broke their 'need the best gear' mindset?

Sounds like you were overthinking it.

Overthinking is just a nice way of saying someone's wrong lol. Maybe it's not that deep.

Haha, totally! I get stuck in that loop all the time. @the_sam has a point that we make things way too complicated. Sometimes you just gotta let it go.
