Stumbled on a bad habit in my digital art workflow last week that cost me 3 years of progress
I was showing a friend my process on Procreate and they pointed out I'd been using a low-res canvas for every single piece since starting. Has anyone else realized they were accidentally handicapping themselves with a wrong setting?

Wait, sorry if I'm getting this wrong but didn't you mean 3 years of work not progress? Like the files themselves were stuck at low res? Just checking because I've done similar stuff with layers on Photoshop and it's super frustrating.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. It's not just about the res being stuck low, it's like the whole thing gets trapped in a loop where no matter what you try, the layers just won't cooperate. I've had projects where I swear I spent months just fighting with the same few files, thinking I was making progress but really just spinning my wheels. The frustration comes from knowing exactly what you need to do but the software just won't let you get there. It's like being in a bad relationship with your own computer.
