TIL a simple comment at a gallery opening changed how I look at digital art
I was at a local gallery showing last month and an older painter told me digital art has "too much undo" and lacks the soul of mistakes - it really made me rethink how much I rely on erasing everything until it's perfect. Has anyone else had a conversation that shifted how you approach your own work?

Has anyone tried deliberately working WITHOUT an undo button for a week or two? I forced myself to use a single layer in a painting app and it honestly helped me commit to my lines more. It's weirdly freeing once you accept that imperfections are just part of the piece.

Oh, that's an interesting twist I hadn't thought of. I've actually been doing the opposite lately, using a program with unlimited layers and undos, and it's honestly making me more careless with my work. Maybe the commitment factor is the real secret.
