Why does nobody talk about how long it takes to organize digital brushes?
Spent about 4 hours last Tuesday sorting through my brush library on Clip Studio Paint. I’ve been collecting free brushes from DeviantArt for like 3 years now, and my folder was a total mess. Ended up deleting like 40 ones I never use, but I still have over 200 left. Does anyone else spend more time organizing their tools than actually drawing?

That 40 brush purge is actually wild tbh. I used to think I could just hoard every free texture pack I found and call it a day, but last month I timed myself digging through my own mess for a specific inking brush and it took 20 minutes. Changed my whole view on organizing. Now I have this little folder system by use case like sketching, inking, and textures. Still ended up keeping 150 though, hard to let go of the good ones.

Folder by use case is the way. I do sketching, lineart, and painting folders. Keeps my brain from exploding mid-draw.
