Client ghosted after we hit their #1 keyword - 3 months of work gone
I've been running SEO for a local HVAC company in Austin, and last week they just stopped paying and answering emails after we got them to position 1 for 'emergency AC repair Austin'. No warning, no reason, just silence. How do you guys handle clients who vanish right when the results finally show up?

yeah that sucks but honestly you gotta start collecting payment differently. i do month to month with a 3 month minimum upfront now for this exact reason. clients like that know exactly what theyre doing they wait til you deliver then dip. next time get half the contract paid before you even touch their site, or at least lock em into a prepaid 6 month block. they can ghost all they want but your bank account won't feel it.
