I finally saw how cheap we used to work back in 2018

Last week I was digging through old client files and found a proposal I wrote in 2018. We were charging $800 per month for a full SEO package including content, backlinks, and analytics. Now we charge $2,500 for basically the same scope and clients don't even blink. It's wild how much the market shifted once people realized good SEO takes real hours. Anyone else look back at their old rates and cringe?

tbh the real shift was when google started punishing thin content not just ignoring it

thin content started getting punished" - yeah and my 2018 self was the one writing it lol. I basically charged people $800 a month to prove I knew how to spell keywords.
