In-house SEO beat our agency of 3 years in just 4 months

We finally got sick of paying $4,200 a month to an agency that kept sending the same canned reports. I hired one person who actually knows technical SEO and she found 140 broken backlinks we had no idea about. The agency never even checked our crawl budget or the redirect chains. She rebuilt our whole internal linking structure and our organic traffic went up 38% in one quarter. Anybody else dump an agency for an in-house hire and see bigger wins? $4,200 a month but they never checked redirects, that sounds like you hired a bad agency, not that agencies are useless.
