Just found out small agencies are using AI chatbots wrong 90% of the time
Was reading a report from HubSpot last night and it said 9 out of 10 small digital agencies set up their chatbots to just answer basic questions, but nobody clicks them. The stat that got me was that agencies using chatbots to actually book meetings instead saw a 47% higher conversion rate. I guess people just want to skip the small talk and get straight to talking to a real person about their project. Has anyone else noticed this with their own clients?

Oh COME ON, that's a total misinterpretation of the data. Those 47% higher conversions probably came from agencies that already had high-intent traffic, not from the chatbot itself. If you force every visitor to book a meeting right away, you're just gonna scare off the people who are still just browsing and learning.

I put a chatbot on my site back in March and saw a 12% drop in page views at first. @mason_flores21 is right that forcing a meeting right away can push people away. What worked for me was setting the chatbot to only pop up after someone spent at least 60 seconds on the pricing page. That way it catches people who are actually interested but doesn't bug the ones just browsing. Sometimes you gotta let the data tell you when to step in instead of rushing it.
