Pro tip: Ask clients for a 60 second video instead of a testimonial
I was stuck trying to get written testimonials from a local bakery owner last month. She kept saying she was too busy to type something up. So I asked her to just pull out her phone and tell me why she liked working with us. That one minute clip turned into a great ad for Facebook and she was happy to do it. Has anyone else had better luck with video vs written reviews?

That thing about people being "too busy to type something up" is exactly it. I notice this all the time now. We're all walking around with phones that can shoot video but asking someone to write three sentences feels like homework. It's like how nobody wants to write a birthday card anymore but they'll gladly record a quick video singing happy birthday. Same energy. The bakery owner was probably relieved you gave her an easier option. Once you see this pattern you start noticing it everywhere.

Honestly, that birthday card thing is so real. @wendy_bell83 I caught myself doing that exact same thing last week - typed out a whole paragraph in my notes but then just sent my grandma a voice recording instead. It's like typing feels like work now but talking into the phone doesn't.
