Shoutout to the client who asked for a 'bigger pie chart' and killed our whole analytics deck

I was presenting our Q3 report in a cramped conference room in Tampa last Tuesday, and when I showed the breakdown of ad spend vs. organic traffic, she pointed at the tiny 3% organic slice and said 'make that pie chart bigger' before I could explain the data, so now I spend the first hour of every monthly call re-teaching people that scaling a visual doesn't scale results, has anyone else had a client flat-out miss the point like that?

Gotta play devil's advocate here. If the organic slice is THAT small, maybe the client isn't clueless, maybe they're trying to tell you the visual is doing the data a disservice. A 3% sliver on a pie chart is basically invisible, so asking to see it better isn't crazy, it's a design problem. Scaling the chart won't fix the story, but dismissing the question kinda ignores that.
