Showerthought: Heard a client in Austin say 'we just need more content' like it's a magic button

I was on a call with a potential client for our agency, and they kept repeating that phrase while dismissing our strategy for audience research. It made me think the 'more content' mindset is a huge trap that sets everyone up to fail. What's the best way you've found to shift a client's focus from quantity to actual connection?

But what if the client is right? Sometimes you just need to fill the pipes before anyone shows up. @sageallen's story is cool, but not every brand can wait around for one perfect post to hit.

That's the classic trap, right there.

We had a client last year who insisted on three blog posts a day. After six months, their traffic was down because the quality was so thin. I showed them a single, well-researched article we did as a test that got more shares than their last sixty posts combined. That finally got them to slow down and focus.
