Spent 6 hours fixing a client's Google My Business listing that only needed one checkbox

Had a client last month who insisted their business wasn't showing up in local search results. I dug through every setting, checked their address, verified their phone number, even called Google support twice. After six hours of messing around I finally noticed their category was set to 'Online Retailer' instead of 'Plumbing Service'. One click fixed everything. Client still sends me angry emails about their listing though. Has anyone else had a small setting cause this much trouble?

402 errors from the Maps API. That's what got me one time. Same deal, client listing was all jacked up, spent a whole afternoon checking addresses and phone numbers. Turns out the Google Maps embed code they copied from their old site had a bad API key that was pointing to the wrong project in their developer console. Simple fix, but they still bring it up every meeting like I broke their website. Google's backend is held together with duct tape and good intentions.
