Spent three hours fixing a landing page that should have taken thirty minutes

Last Tuesday I was working on a client's Google Ads campaign and noticed their landing page was loading really slow on mobile. I figured I could swap out a few images and compress them, maybe adjust some code and be done in half an hour. Turns out the whole page was built with a cheap drag and drop tool that wouldn't let me edit the HTML directly. I ended up rebuilding the whole thing from scratch in WordPress and it took me until 6 PM to get it right. The client had already spent $400 on that broken page from some agency in Phoenix. Has anyone else run into landing page builders that just waste your time like that?

Switched to a proper theme after that and never looked back.
