That old spreadsheet template from 2012 still runs my monthly reports

I started at an agency in Austin back in 2012 and someone handed me a client reporting template they'd built in Excel. It had all these formulas and conditional formatting that felt ancient even then, but I kept using it out of habit. Last month I tried to rebuild the same report in a fancy dashboard tool we pay for now, and it took me two days to get half the data right. I went back to the old sheet and had the report done in 20 minutes. Anyone else find that the clunky tools you learned on still beat the new ones for certain tasks?
