Was dead set against retargeting ads until I saw the numbers from a client's campaign last month
I used to think retargeting was just annoying people who already left your site. Last month we ran a test for a local plumbing company in Austin where we spent $600 on retargeting ads for 3 weeks. The campaign brought in 12 direct calls and 4 booked jobs worth about $3200 total. I had to admit I was wrong when the client said their ROI was over 5x on that spend. Has anyone else been surprised by a specific tactic they thought was overrated?

Whoa, hold on. Did you say 12 calls from just $600? That's honestly wild to me. I've always figured retargeting was just a way to burn money on people who already made up their minds. But that kind of return, especially for a local plumber in a competitive market like Austin, that's not just luck. Your mileage may vary for sure, but that's a real eye opener. I'd have to see those numbers myself to fully believe them, but now I'm curious to run my own little test on a smaller budget.
