We hit 37% of our revenue from one client and it scared me straight.

Call that a wake up call, not a scare. Getting spooked is a feeling, but changing your business is an action. That number means you have a single point of failure, not just a big client. The goal now is to build a plan to get that percentage down before anything goes wrong, not just feel relieved you noticed.

Yeah I was reading something about how companies that rely on one single client for more than 20-30% of revenue basically have all their eggs in one basket. It's like having a job where your whole paycheck depends on one person liking you that week. I remember a study that said most businesses that lose their biggest client never fully recover, even if they find new ones later. So yeah, that number is a real problem, not just a scary thought.
