Coworking host told me my headphone setup was antisocial and she had a point

I was at a coworking space in Medellin last month, zoning out with noise-cancelling headphones on full blast. The host tapped me and said hey, you're missing all the connections because nobody wants to interrupt a guy who looks unreachable. She suggested I switch to open back headphones and keep one ear free for at least part of the day. I started doing that, and suddenly I got invited to three group lunches and a weekend hike. Has anyone else had a coworking space call them out on their setup like that?

Hold up @gonzalez.grant, you're kinda missing the point lol. The headphones weren't blocking anything, they were just helping me focus on myself for a bit. Not everyone needs to be talking 24/7 to have a social life.
