Coworking memberships felt like a waste until I tried one in Medellin

I was super skeptical about paying $150 a month for a desk when I could just work from a cafe for free. But after 3 weeks of bad wifi and noise at Coffee Zone in El Poblado, I gave Selina cowork a shot. The fiber internet alone was worth it, no more dropped calls with clients. Has anyone else had a similar flip on something they thought was overhyped?

$150 a month for fiber in Medellin is a steal. I've seen worse coffee shop wifi in the US for the same price.

It's wild how @sandragonzalez pointed out that even crappy coffee shop wifi in the US costs more than good fiber elsewhere.
