Debate: coworking spaces vs coffee shops for focus...

I spent 6 months bouncing between coffee shops and saw my productivity dip by about 30% compared to my first month in a proper coworking space. But now I'm wondering if the $250 monthly membership is really worth it or if I just need better noise-cancelling headphones... what's your take on which setup actually works long term?

Wait, did you actually track your productivity or is that 30% number just a ballpark guess? Because if you're comparing your first month in a coworking space to six months of coffee shop work, that could be more about you getting better at focusing over time than the space itself. Coffee shops are fine for churning through emails or light tasks but they're terrible for deep work since you're constantly fighting noise, finding outlets, and nursing a $6 latte so you don't get kicked out. The $250 membership might actually pay for itself if you factor in how much you'd spend on drinks and snacks at a coffee shop every day. But honestly, if you really just need better noise-cancelling headphones and a solid routine, you could probably recreate most of that coworking vibe at a library for free.
