Hit my 50th coworking space last month and it felt weird
I've been tracking every coworking spot I've worked from since I started nomading in 2021. Hit number 50 last month at a place in Medellin. What surprised me was how much the vibe matters over the wifi speed. Some $10 spots felt better than $30 ones. Anyone else notice their list of favorite cities changed after a certain number of places?

Counting 50 coworking spaces like it's some kind of achievement feels a bit much. It's literally just tables and wifi. The vibe thing makes sense but that's more about basic human comfort than some profound discovery. Medellin spots are fine but acting surprised that price doesn't equal quality is kinda obvious. Maybe your favorite cities changed because you got comfortable traveling, not because of some coworking milestone.

Oh man, I actually get where you're coming from but I kinda disagree on the vibe thing being just basic comfort. Have you actually tried booking a desk somewhere where the lighting is garbage or the chairs are from 2005? That stuff genuinely affects how I work, and I've walked out of places after an hour. But your last point really got me thinking though - if I hadn't been tracking all those spaces, would I even know which cities actually made me want to stay longer?
