Hot take: Getting a SIM card in Lisbon should not be a 3-hour ordeal
Honestly, spent half a workday just trying to get data because my eSIM wouldn't activate and the store needed 'proof of address' from a hotel. Anyone else have a go-to provider that doesn't need a local tax number?

Remember when phones were just for calling? I somehow made it through that era, so maybe I'm the problem.

My old Nokia 3310 lasted a week on one charge, so maybe we're all the problem now.

Tell me about it. I had to show my passport, a hotel booking, and then wait for some manager to come back from lunch just to get a prepaid SIM in Madrid. The whole "proof of address" thing for tourists is a joke. Felt like I was applying for a mortgage, not buying some data.
