I think the 'slow travel' advice for new nomads is a bit off sometimes
In my view, telling everyone to stay in a place for a month or more right away can be a mistake. I moved to Lisbon for 6 weeks when I started, and I felt stuck when I realized I didn't click with the city. It took a big chunk of my budget and time to fix. A friend of mine did a two week trial in three different spots first, and that worked way better for her. Has anyone else found that a shorter test run in a few cities helped them decide?

Ever try a city for just a weekend first? Did that with Berlin. Got a feel for it without the big commitment.

Ever done a weekend test run and ended up hating the vibe? @emery_craig, my Berlin weekend was a bust because it rained the whole time and I just saw museums. It kind of proved you need more than a couple days to judge a place.
