I used to pack a full suitcase for a month in Chiang Mai, now I bring a 30L backpack
About two years ago, I landed in Thailand with a giant rolling bag and a carry-on. It took me 45 minutes to find a specific shirt in that mess. After three trips lugging that thing up narrow hostel stairs, I forced myself to try one bag. I packed for a month in Lisbon with just the backpack, and it was so much easier to hop on a last-minute bus to Porto. How do you decide what makes the final cut for your bag?

Read a tip to pack, then remove half. @luna_craig58 gets that freedom.

That last-minute bus to Porto is the best feeling. I did the same thing in Croatia after switching to one bag, just grabbed my stuff and went.
