Met a digital nomad in a Chiang Mai hostel who made me dump my itinerary

He was 62, living off a small pension, and had been hopping countries for 7 years with just a 30L pack, and he said 'plans are just anxiety with a calendar.' I had 14 cities booked over 6 months, he asked me what I was running from, and that question stuck with me so hard I canceled half of them. Anybody else had a stranger talk you out of your whole route?
