I used to book everything online and pay the listed price. Now I message hosts directly and offer a bit less, and it works almost every time. Why do so many nomads still pay full price without trying to talk it down?

I came across a podcast that talked about how negotiation isn't just for big deals but everyday stuff too. @richardknight, you're spot on about us forgetting this skill. Tbh, I used to avoid haggling at markets until I saw how much I could save. It's like we're taught to accept prices as they are without question. Practicing even small talks can build confidence for bigger moments.
