Prague's fast wifi beat Bali's beaches for my remote job
Many digital nomads say Bali is the top spot to work from. I disagree after spending time in both places. In Bali, my video calls kept failing due to slow internet. Prague had cafes with strong and steady connections every day. This let me focus and get more work done without issues. The city is also low cost and easy to live in. For a stress free work life, I pick reliable cities over popular tropical ones.

Tried working from a beach town once and the internet was awful... ended up moving to a smaller city with better infrastructure instead.

Ever think about lobbying for better lines instead, Scott?

Yeah, and @scott.william's move shows how it's not just speed, it's reliability. A beach town might get a decent signal until 10 AM when everyone logs on, then it drops constantly during calls. You can't fix that with a better router. Smaller cities often have newer, less crowded lines because they built them for growth, not just for tourists checking maps. The infrastructure was planned for people actually living there, not just visiting.
