Shoutout to the coworking space that showed me why I hate 'digital nomad' meetups
I joined a group in Chiang Mai last week where half the people bragged about working 2 hours a day from a pool. Then one guy admitted he'd missed three client deadlines because he kept 'syncing' his laptop at cafes. How do you all vet these spaces before you commit, or do you just roll the dice every city?

The whole "working 2 hours a day from a pool" crowd always cracks me up. Those are the same folks who brag about their "hustle" while someone else picks up their slack back home. I've learned to check the wifi speed first, ask about quiet zones second, and avoid any place that has a kombucha tap or a slack channel for "spontaneous beach trips." If someone in the intro circle mentions "syncing" more than once, I grab my laptop and run. Honestly, you're better off finding a boring coffee shop with a cranky barista who has no patience for dreamers. That'll get your deadlines met faster than any "community vibe.
