Spent $800 on a co-living space that was nothing like the pictures
I booked a month in a co-living spot in Bali based on photos showing a quiet work area and fast wifi. When I got there, the 'work space' was a noisy common table next to the kitchen, and the internet cut out every afternoon. On the other side, some people love the social vibe and say you just need a good mobile hotspot. I lost $800 on that place because I couldn't get any focused work done. What's the biggest letdown you've had with a digital nomad housing setup?

My buddy booked this place in Lisbon that showed a rooftop coworking space with ocean views. He got there and it was literally a folding table on a concrete slab above the parking garage, like they just threw a plant next to it and called it a day. The "fast wifi" was a dongle that died every 45 minutes, and the host blamed the weather (it was sunny the whole week). He ended up working from a Starbucks most days, which kind of defeats the whole point of paying for a "digital nomad" setup.
