That coworking space guru gave me bad advice about Chiang Mai
Everyone online says to head straight to Nimman if you're a digital nomad in Chiang Mai. I followed that advice last spring and spent three months in overpriced cafes with spotty wifi and crowds of tourists. Turns out the Old City has quieter spaces like Punspace that cost half as much and actually have desks you can work from for a full day. Has anyone else found that the popular spots are usually the worst for actual productivity?

Punspace in the Old City is actually decent. Paid 150 baht for a day pass there once and the wifi was faster than my Airbnb. Nimman is just a trap for people who want Instagram backgrounds instead of getting work done.

My buddy went to Punspace once and his laptop died two hours in. They loaned him a charger for free and even saved his work from the cloud. He still talks about it like it's this magical place.
