That day I tried to file taxes from a beach in Thailand
I was in Koh Samui last April and thought I'd knock out my US taxes in an afternoon at a beachfront cafe... turns out the wifi there kept cutting out every 15 minutes. I spent 3 full days going back and forth between cafes and my Airbnb just to get the forms submitted. The cafe with good wifi was packed with other nomads doing the same thing. Has anyone else lost a whole week to something that should have taken a few hours?

Three full days is rough, man. I had a similar nightmare last year trying to do my state taxes from a hostel in Phnom Penh where the power kept going out every time a storm rolled in. Lost two entire afternoons just waiting for the laptop to charge back up. It's wild how something that should take like two hours turns into this huge waste of time when you're halfway around the world with bad internet. You have my sympathy on this one, that beach cafe tax grind is real.

Is it just me or does every simple task turn into a brutal side quest the second you leave your normal setup?
