But honestly, how critical was it really? Big project updates should never depend on a single click with no backup. You couldn't have saved it as a draft offline first, or used a word processor? Shared internet is flaky, that's a known fact you have to plan around. Blaming the connection feels like avoiding the real issue, which is not having a failsafe for important work.

So you're saying every single person on a team should individually save offline drafts before posting to a shared project doc? That seems like a huge waste of collective time if the platform itself promises reliable auto-save.
