Update: The real cost of a 'cheap' nomad visa in Bali
I was looking at the Indonesia digital nomad visa last month, thinking it was a steal at around $130. Then I dug into the fine print on the official immigration site. You need proof of $2,000 in a local bank account, health insurance with specific coverage, and a sponsor letter. The extra fees and paperwork push the real cost over $600 for the first year. It's not the budget deal it seems at first glance. Has anyone actually gone through the full process and can confirm the total outlay?

Honestly this reminds me of a friend who tried to get a visa for Portugal. Looked cheap online but then they wanted bank statements, proof of income, and a rental contract for a whole year. He spent like 400 euros on document fees and translations before he even got on the plane. Tbh these things are never as simple as they advertise.

Classic bait and switch, happens with everything now.
