A friend showed me the digital footprint from my old MySpace account and it was wild

I was hanging out with my buddy last week and he pulled up some old archived version of my MySpace page from 2006. There was literally my full birthday, my school name, my exact hometown, and a photo of my front door all right there in public. I felt like I was looking at a stupid kid I didn't even know anymore. Has anyone else gone back and seen how much random info they just threw out there without thinking?

Oh man, this hits home. I actually had a friend who used to list her entire AIM away message with her EXACT location and what time she'd be home. Like "at the mall food court, back at 4:30" and I remember thinking that was totally normal back then. She even posted a photo of her car with her license plate visible and her full name in the caption. It's honestly scary to think about now, especially since she lived in a pretty rough area at the time. I mean, we were all just so naive about how the internet worked and who could see that stuff. Makes me wonder what kids today are putting out there that they'll regret in 15 years.
